Laois County Fire & Rescue Service Receive New Fire Beast EN469 Firefighting PPE

Laois County Fire & Rescue Service has upgraded its EN469 firefighting PPE to meet the country’s highest quality firefighting PPE standards.

Laois has joined Dublin, Kilkenny, Roscommon, Kildare, Clare, and Monaghan Fire & Rescue Services along with the Irish Naval Services in using Hunter to rollout new EN469 firefighting PPE to their fire-fighters.

Alongside the most advanced Firefighting PPE on the market, Laois has also chosen to join Hunter’s HunterCARE® Platinum package which involves regular inspection, repair, laundry, and a highly sustainable decontamination method for their PPE. This will ensure their firefighters always remain well protected and will maximise the lifecycle of their PPE.

Hunter works closely with many of Irelands Fire & Rescue Services and provides head-to-toe uniform and PPE alongside our HunterCARE® care and maintenance facilities. In May 2020, Hunter was awarded the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) Safety Solution Award for their work in “Improving Long Term Health Outcomes for Firefighters”. This award recognises Hunter’s work in protecting those on whom society depends, the award included many case studies of our work with fire services in both Ireland and the UK. Find out more here
