Hunter Apparel Solutions have been honoured with the task to create a one-off linen shirt for President Barack Obama for his upcoming visit to Northern Ireland as part of the G8 Summit. Hunter Apparel Solutions have been making shirts for almost 80 years but this design is unique and will use the finest Irish linen from Ferguson’s weavers in Co Down.
Simon Hunter, MD, added: “We have received Obama’s sizes today, we’ve designed the garment today, we’ve created the pattern today, we will manufacture the garment today and we will have it ready to ship today. I mean that’s pretty incredible. There’s not too many companies that could do that”.
Obama is not the first American President that Hunter Apparel Solutions have designed a shirt for. During Bill & Hillary Clinton’s visit to Northern Ireland in 1995, Graham Hunter the Managing Director of the then ‘Graham Hunter Shirts’ had a one-off superior quality shirt manufactured for the ever popular American President.
