Hunters chosen charity for 2019 is Children in Crossfire.  This month the finance team had Children in Crossfire in the Boardroom to learn more about the charity and their work in 2019.  Hunter then made a sizable donation to Children in Crossfire for 2019.

This amazing charity was founded by Richard Moore after a terrible incident left him blind at the age of 10.  Amazingly, from childhood to the present day, he has never allowed his blindness to hinder his development. “I have learned to see life in a different way”, is how he describes his journey. Children in Crossfire believes that it is the biggest injustice of our time that children are trapped in a cycle of poverty in a world of plenty. They work in partnership with organisations in Tanzania and Ethiopia to help address the problems children in poverty face there and also work with education authorities as well as other  groups, in the UK and Ireland to get everyone working together to help end this cycle of poverty.

This charity has seen something that began as a tragedy and ended as a triumph of the human spirit to overcome adversity.
