Hunter are proud to have supported Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service with their new uniform

Public confidence in those who protect us is shaped long before an emergency begins.
When a fire and rescue service introduces a new operational uniform, it influences how professionalism, authority and readiness are perceived in the communities they serve. Uniform also directly affects performance, durability and workforce identity.
Hunter Apparel Solutions Limited (Hunter) exists to protect those on whom society depends. Supporting Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service in the development and delivery of their new uniform required consultation, design developments and structured implementation. For firefighters and uniformed staff, uniform must perform under pressure, endure repeated wear and, withstand industrial laundering and maintain professional presentation in public-facing environments. It must enable movement without restriction and function without distraction. Poor design can create friction, poor durability can increase replacement cycles and poor fit reduces confidence and comfort, for our front line responders these problems should never occur.
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service were clear: their uniform needed to reflect the professionalism of their people while performing consistently across varied duties. Our responsibility was to ensure the final solution worked in operational reality not just technical specification.
Effective uniform roll outs are built on structured consultation. Firefighters understand the physical demands of their role. Uniformed staff understand the visibility and scrutiny under which they operate. Their insight informs what must be strengthened, what must be refined and what must not be compromised, a collaborative approach helped with this successful roll out.
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s new uniform establishes a coherent, modern identity aligned with the discipline and professionalism of its employees. It ensures individuals are recognisable, representative and appropriately equipped for the responsibilities they carry.
Sustaining that standard requires more than initial rollout. Through our award-winning proprietary software HunterPAC®, services can receive a fully digital managed service, uniform is controlled, tracked and maintained with precision. With full lifecycle management for complete traceability of every issued item, it enables structured reporting and controlled data access, reducing administrative burden and safeguarding consistency over time. Uniform should not become an operational concern. HunterPAC® ensures it remains managed, accountable and aligned to the Service’s priorities, allowing services to focus on protecting their communities not managing uniform roll outs.
The introduction of this uniform represents an organisational decision to invest in long-term performance and workforce identity. Hunter exists to protect those on whom society depends, and Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, placed their trust in us to support that responsibility. For more than 90 years, fire and rescue services have relied on Hunter to deliver uniform systems built on discipline, durability and accountability.
We were delighted to hear this feedback from Aaron, Group Commander Technical who lead on the project:
“We were pleased to work with Hunters to supply the new workwear for our uniformed staff. The process has been smooth from start to finish, with clear communication throughout. Whenever any queries were raised, Hunters responded quickly and worked proactively with our team to resolve them efficiently. Their attention to detail, and collaborative approach ensured timelines were met, and we were proud to be able to introduce new uniform for our staff earlier this month.”
